US tariffs on industrial products

The June move cut both ways
Some HVAC and agricultural machinery went from 25% to 15%. New derivative listings appeared. If your ERP still carries the old surcharge, it is now wrong in both directions: you are overcharging some lines and eating duty on others.
That is an operational problem this week, not a research project. The working register cites the adjustment. It is not a substitute for opening the annex against your SKUs.
What “industrial” actually means here
Pumps, racks, plates, mobile equipment, and the parts that travel with them. Some of those are core metal. Some are derivatives. Some left the 25% book. Treat “industrial” as a catalogue problem, not a sector slogan.

Cross the 8 June annex with your US-bound SKUs. Mark up, down, or unchanged. Then run the calculator on the lines that moved, with the rate you would type today.
Factual answers
- Did every industrial product drop to 15%?
- No. Some did. Some were added as derivatives. Some did not move. Pull the annex. A sector average will misprice the book.
- Our parts are CUSMA originating. Are we done?
- Origin can change the derivative math. It does not finish the file. You still need the IOR, the rate that applies, and whether the SKU is on the annex.
- Can I wait for the next proclamation?
- You can. The quotes you send this week will still carry this week’s rate. Waiting is a decision to keep the stale surcharge.
