Our Story

Our Story

Mirabilys was born from the gap between what companies in trouble were getting from traditional consulting and what they actually needed from an operator in the seat.

Where WeCome From

Operating not advising

The roots of Mirabilys are in operating roles, not advisory slides. Before creating the firm, our founder spent years inside companies that were growing fast, facing headwinds, or needing to reset strategy. That included time as a senior leader in finance and operations, navigating real‑world constraints like tight liquidity, demanding customers, and limited capacity.

Over time, a pattern emerged. When businesses hit turbulence, they often hired classic turnaround consulting firms. These firms produced detailed reports, ran workshops, and sometimes delivered useful insights. Yet owners and boards regularly felt alone when it came time to make and implement hard decisions. The people who knew the business were too close. The people who knew the frameworks were too far.

Mirabilys was created to bridge that gap for middle‑market companies in Montreal, across Quebec, and throughout Canada and North America. The idea was simple: combine the discipline of restructuring advisory work with the accountability of interim management and hands‑on value creation.

Our Evolution

From crisis to sustained growth

Start

The firm launched with a focus on urgent turnaround work. Early clients were often in distress—facing creditor pressure, operational breakdowns, or leadership vacuums. We stepped in as interim executives and restructuring advisors, helping stabilize the business first, then charting a path forward.

Building a network

We built a network of trusted specialists—lawyers, accountants, lenders, and operational experts—who understood the middle market and could move quickly. That ecosystem remains central to how we work today.

Expanding our scope

As reputation grew, clients started reaching out earlier—before crisis hit. We began working with businesses in transition: succession situations, carve‑outs, rapid growth that outpaced systems and controls. The work expanded from pure restructuring to broader value creation and strategic transformation.

Why MirabilysExists

We exist for a specific kind of moment

1

Inflection points

The moment when a founder realizes the company has outgrown them. When a lender relationship sours. When a key customer threatens to leave. When the board starts asking harder questions.

2

Complexity and uncertainty

These are moments that mix complexity with uncertainty, where the usual playbook no longer applies. Owners and executives often feel exposed—responsible for outcomes but unsure how to proceed.

3

Operational partners

Traditional consulting can feel distant at such times. Owners want operational partners, not just advisors. They want people who will be accountable for results, not just recommendations.

That moment calls for a partner who has been in the seat—someone who understands both the strategic frameworks and the messy human realities of running a business under pressure. We exist to be that partner.

Our Vision

The trusted operator partner

We are building Mirabilys to be the trusted operator partner for middle-market companies and investors facing pivotal transitions. That means being known not just for smart analysis, but for the way we stand inside challenging situations, reduce noise, and help teams move forward with confidence.

Over time, we aim to deepen our presence in Quebec and Canada while supporting more cross-border situations where North American investors are working with local management teams. Our vision is a firm that combines strong turnaround consulting and restructuring advisory skills with the grounded, practical instincts of people who have run businesses themselves.
